American Health Savings Plan Best Benefits offers its members 20% to 60% discounts on eyeglasses, contact lenses, (excluding disposables) and other retail eyewear items through a network of over 12,000 eye care professionals nationwide. In addition, members can save 10% to 30% on eye examinations and surgical procedures, including LASIK, where available. Most frames, lenses, specialty items such as tints, scratch resistant coatings and ultraviolet protection are available.

How to use your American Health Services Plan Best Benefits Vision Plan:

  1. Select a participating optical location from the provider list or call the toll free number.
  2. When visiting the optical location be sure to present your American Health Savings Plan Best Benefits membership card which will identify you as a valid American Health Savings Plan Best Benefits member.
  3. Select the eyewear and lenses of your choice. Almost any frame, lenses, color, size, plus add–ons such as ultraviolet protection, scratch coating, and tints are available.
  4. Remember, there is no limit on the amount of eyewear you save on with this program, and your immediate family is covered under your American Health Savings Plan Best Benefits plan membership.

Most frames, lenses, specialty items such as tints, scratch resistant coatings, and ultraviolet protection are available. There is no limit on the number of times you and your immediate family may use the membership during the year. Simply present your American Health Savings Plan Best Benefits membership card at any participating optical location and you will automatically be charged the discounted prices.

Disclosure: This plan is NOT insurance. For MA marketing: This plan does not meet the minimum creditable coverage requirements under M.G.L. c. 111M and 956 CMR 5.00. This is not a Medicare prescription drug plan. For MD marketing that includes hospital benefits: Discounts on hospital services are not available in Maryland. The plan provides discounts at certain health care providers for medical services. The plan does not make payments directly to the providers of medical services. The plan member is obligated to pay for all health care services but will receive a discount from those health care providers who have contracted with the discount medical plan organization. The range of discounts will vary depending on the provider type and services provided. This plan is administered by Coverdell & Company, Inc., a discount medical plan organization, at 8770 W. Bryn Mawr, Suite 1000, Chicago, IL 60631, 1-800-308-0374. You have the right to cancel this plan within 30 days of the effective date for a full refund of fees paid. This plan is not available in Florida, Vermont and Washington.
